The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has taken a strong stance against anti-party activities by suspending 8 members including former governor Nnamani and Fayose’s Son.
The decision to suspend these members was taken by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) after an investigation into their conduct.
The party cited that the suspended members were found to have engaged in activities that were detrimental to the progress and unity of the party. The activities included working against the party’s interest, spreading false information, and undermining the party’s leadership.
In addition to the suspension of Ex-Gov Nnamani the PDP also took action against Ayeni Funso (Ekiti north), Ajijola Lateef Oladimeji (Ekiti central), Emiola Adenike Jennifer (Ekiti south II), Ajayi Babatunde Samuel (Ekiti north II), Olayinka James Olalere (Ekiti central), Akerele Oluyinka (Ekiti north I), and Fayose Oluwajomiloju John (Ekiti central I) for their involvement in anti-party activities.
The PDP is also calling on all its members to work together and support the party’s leadership in its efforts to rebuild the party and provide good governance to the people. The party is also urging all members to be mindful of their actions and to refrain from engaging in activities that could harm the party’s unity and progress.
The suspension of these members is a clear indication that the PDP is committed to ensuring that the party remains united and focused on its goal of providing good governance to the people. The party is also sending a message to other members that it will not tolerate any form of anti-party activities and that any member found guilty of such activities will be dealt with accordingly.
Recently, Nnamani, the Enugu East senatorial District representative, and Fayose Oluwajomiloju John Ekiti central have publicly announced their support for Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
