For domestic and international travel, as well as the use of the presidential aviation fleet, the offices of the president and vice president of Nigeria would spend N11.92 billion.
This information was included in the 2023 Appropriation Bill that President Muhammadu Buhari delivered to the National National Assembly’s joint session on Friday, October 7, in Abuja.
According to DailyPost, the sum also includes N1.60 billion set aside for the overhaul of the Gulfstream GV and CL605 airplane engines and N1.58 billion designated for aircraft maintenance.
Additionally, it was revealed that the office of the vice President will spend N846.61 million on the same thing while the Office of the President will receive N2.49 billion in funding for domestic and international travel.
While this is happening, the National Assembly’s members will get N100 billion for constituency projects that, according to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, have a history of corruption.
