Primate Elijah Ayodele, of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has spoken out about the forthcoming 2023 election in Rivers State.
The spiritual leader expressed his concern over the actions of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, and warned that the support he has given to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate, Tinubu, will lead to their failure in the upcoming election.
According to a statement released by Ayodele’s Media Aide, Oluwatosin Osho, the governor’s political future is at risk due to the controversial decisions he has made in recent times. Ayodele stated that “Wike is playing with his political future and this will have a dent on him. His people will not listen to him because he has passed his boundary.”
Furthermore, Primate Ayodele also raised concerns over the potential for fraud during the election. He stressed the importance of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to be vigilant in order to ensure a fair and just election.
He warned of the potential for hanky-panky games to occur and expressed his worry over INEC’s electronic transmission and BVAS issues, stating that there are cabals who are not interested in the success of the election and could compromise the integrity of the voting process.
However, Primate Ayodele foresees a troubled election in Rivers State, with the support of Tinubu and the APC being seen as a hindrance to their success. He also warns of the potential for fraud and calls for the INEC to be proactive in their efforts to maintain the integrity of the election.
