While many are insulting the government both online and offline, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is busy creating a Directorate for Politics and Governance ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The church, which supported its former pastor, Yemi Osinbajo, to win the 2015 presidential election, has come out in force to support members vying for political positions in 2023.
In a new memo sighted and obtained by MandyNews, the church creates a board to coordinate the affairs and activities of members interested in seeking political offices in 2023.
Pastor Timothy Olaniyan, a Pastor in Charge of Province (PICP) for Lagos Province 12, has been named chairman of the Directorate by the RCCG.
It instructed pastors to appoint people to coordinate the new directorate at regional, state, zonal, and other levels.
