Senegal beat Egypt 4-2 on penalties after the AFCON 2021 final ended 0-0 following extra time at Yaounde’s Olembe Stadium on Sunday to secure their first African Cup of Nations title.
Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy was the hero for the AFCON in the shootout, while Abdelmonem M and Lasheen M failed to convert from the spot for Egypt.
