SSA To Justice Onnoghen Debunks Rumoured EFCC Raid On CJN’s Residence

The Senior Special Adviser (SSA) to the embattled Chief Justice of Nigeria, Awassam Bassey, JP has debunked the rumour making the round that the Abuja Home of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Honourable Justice Walter Onnoghen, has been raided by Security Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

Suanu’s Blog had earlier reported the alleged raid following a disclosure by a PDP chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode.

However, Mr.Bassey in a telephone interview with TheNigerialawyer said that the report is not true. He stressed that, the FFCC has not invaded the home of the Justice, and that it could probably be a plan, but not yet effected to his knowledge.

The EFCC was yet to react to the issue.
