At least 17 people died, all of them are students, as a truck rams into Ojodu Grammar school, Ojodu Berger, in Nigeria’s southwestern region, Mandy News report.
An eyewitness said that the accident occurred shortly after the student closed from the school on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
The truck was traveling from Ogun state expressway on the right lane driving to Ojodu Berger, around 75 kilometers Oke Ira, Ogba Ikeja of Lagos, when the accident happened, an eyewitness, who first reported the accidents on Twitter, said on December 7.
The information gathered by MandyNews.com seems to indicate that Lagos State Traffic Management Authority popularly known as LASTMA was chasing and one of the officers was dragging the steering wheel with the truck driver before it ran into the students.
A Twitter User said police officers arrived at the scene and start shooting sporadically at the students who protested.
