In a small village in western Ukraine, a council meeting took an unexpected and tragic turn. Afrer a local councillor threw grenades into the meeting room, injuring 26 people.

What Happened?
During the Meeting: The council was discussing their 2024 budget and this year’s financial results. They were also voting on whether to give the council chief a bonus.
The Attack: About an hour and a half into the meeting, one councillor, clearly upset about the budget, left the room. He came back a few minutes later, stood by the door, and suddenly pulled out grenades from his jacket.
The Explosion: He tried to get everyone’s attention, saying, “May I, may I?” and then threw the grenades into the crowd. They exploded shortly after.
The Aftermath
Injuries Reported: According to the police, 26 people were hurt, and six of them are in serious condition. There were efforts to save the life of the man who threw the grenades.
