The US consulate in Nigeria has canceled all non-immigrant visa application appointments in Nigeria, this coming hours after the Nigerian government canceled flights from China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Japan, France, Germany, Norway, the United Kingdom, Netherlands & Switzerland including the United States of America.

U.S. Embassy & Consulate in Nigeria Notice – Routine Nonimmigrant Visa Appointments Cancelled

Information for visa applicants regarding novel coronavirus:

“As of March 18, 2020, the United States Embassy and Consulate in Nigeria is canceling routine nonimmigrant visa appointments. We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. The MRV fee is valid and may be used for a visa application in the country where it was purchased within one year of the date of payment”

“To request an emergency appointment. You have an urgent matter and need to travel immediately, follow the guidance provided HERE
