The US consulate in Nigeria has canceled all non-immigrant visa application appointments in Nigeria, this coming hours after the Nigerian government canceled flights from China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Japan, France, Germany, Norway, the United Kingdom, Netherlands & Switzerland including the United States of America.

“As of March 18, 2020, the United States Embassy and Consulate in Nigeria is canceling routine nonimmigrant visa appointments. We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. The MRV fee is valid and may be used for a visa application in the country where it was purchased within one year of the date of payment”
