Nashville, TN  A devastating school shooting took place on Tuesday, March 28, at Covenant Church and School in Nashville, resulting in the deaths of six individuals, including three children aged nine and three adults.

The chilling moment when the shooter, Audrey Elizabeth Hale, started her deadly attack was caught on video, which has since gone viral and sent shockwaves across the country.

The 28-year-old former student of the school, Hale, arrived at the campus in her Honda Fit, armed with three guns—two assault-type weapons and a 9 mm pistol.

Surveillance footage shows her violently breaking into the school by shooting through the side doors.

According to a press release that MandyNews.com obtained, the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) got the first call at 10:13 a.m. about an active shooter. When they heard gunshots coming from the second floor, the officers went into the building and began to clear it.

Hale was found shooting from a second-story window at the arriving police vehicles. Officers Rex Englebert and Michael Collazo engaged the shooter, ultimately fatally wounding her.

Investigators say that Hale’s writings show that the attack was planned ahead of time and with great care. A search of her home turned up more weapons, including a shotgun that had been cut in half and a second shotgun.
