Former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar has officially announced six presidential bids for Aso Rock Presidential Villa Abuja.
He won’t be joined this time by Peter Obi, his 2019 running mate and former governor of Anambra State.
According to source, Atiku Abubakar regretted picking Peter Obi as his running mate in the 2019 election because the former governor failed to contribute financially, prompting him to be withdrawn from the list of his running mates for 2023.
The 75-year-old politician, who has declared his ambition to run for president for the sixth time, would be joined by Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, the current Governor of Rivers State, as his running mate, according to the source.
However, Nyesom Wike recently lambasted Raymond Dokpesi for supporting Atiku Abubakar.
As a result of that, it’s still unclear who Atiku will pick as Vice President in 2023.
