The 14 years old platform has started the testing in Brazil, with name “Fleets” Unlike Tweets, Twitter’s new Fleets can’t receive Likes, Replies or Retweets. And they’ll disappear entirely after 24 hours.

Why is Twitter adding Stories Feature

  • According to Twitter, some people say they feel insecure to Tweet because Tweets are public, permanent and exhibit public engagement counts (likes and Retweets).
  • They want to make it possible for you to have conversations on the platform in new ways, with less pressure and more control, in addition to Tweets and Direct Messages (DMs).

which country use twitter the most

According to Twitter Brazil is one of the countries where people talk the most on Twitter, with many of you passionate about speaking and following other Brazilians on the platform, we are excited to test the new functionality here. Based on the test, we’ll learn how the existence of a new way of talking changes the way you interact on Twitter and whether it allows you to share what you’re thinking more comfortably.

What you need to know about Twitter Stories Feature

Like Tweets, Fleets are based primarily on text, but you can include videos, GIFs or photos in them. If you want to reply to a Fleet, click on it to send a Direct Message (DM) or emoji, and continue this conversation on your DMs. Your followers will be able to see your Fleets at the top of their Home Page, and anyone who can access your full profile will also be able to find your Fleets there. If your DMs are open, anyone can react to your Fleets.

Fleets will be available in the course of this week in Brazil only in the application, whether iOS or Android. Try and Tweet using the hashtag #FleetsFeedback telling us what you think of the new feature – this will help us to improve the functionality. Depending on how the test goes, we should take the Fleets to other countries. Thanks!
