Aliko Dangote remains Africa’s richest person. Nigeria leads Africa once again, adding the largest number of Forbes billionaires list 2022.
Africa is a continent blessed with an abundance of natural resources including gold, diamonds, oil, coltan, bauxite, uranium, iron ore as well as more than 1.5 billion people. But only 18 richest people in the world come from the continent in 2022 — and most of them work hard for their wealth.
The others, including the richest person in Africa Aliko Dangote, made his money through Cement.
Africa richest people’s list 2022 comes from new data provided by Forbes, American business magazine. Forbes magazine uses net worth as the measure of wealth. The net worth is calculated as total assets minus debts, where total assets is calculated using the value of each asset on the day that the owner died.
Below are the richest people in Africa, including the owner of Globacom Limited and the founder of Africa’s largest cement company.
