Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari sacks Prof. Charles Uwakwe as NECO registrar, dismisses 4 other senior staff: Bamidele Amos Olure, Shina Adetona, Tayo Odukoya and Babatunde Aina.
President Muhammadu Buhari has terminated the appointment of Prof. Charles Uwakwe as the Registrar/Chief Executive of the National Examinations Council, NECO and 4 other senior staff.
Mr Charles Uwakwe was alleged to have awarded a N25bn contract without the knowledge of either the Federal Ministry of Education or the governing board of the council and recruiting some staff without the knowledge of the appropriate authorities.
