Lagos, Island (MANDY NEWS) – At least three people were killed on Saturday during a dawn National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) raid in the central local government area of Lagos. The operation targeted drug abusers.

According to the information gathered by MandyNews, Lagos Island is part of the South-West‘s most affected by drugs, and Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd), Chief Executive of NDLEA, earlier vowed to eradicate drugs in Nigeria.

According to Nigerians who shared the videos of the scenes, the three people killed were armless. They added that a young man from Northern Nigeria who sells water for a living was also hit by a stray bullet.

Shots fired during the operation left Lagos Island’s residents running hectare scatter.

The deaths will add to criticism from Nigerians who accuse NDLEA of raiding houses at odd hours without a search warrant. Recently, the vast majority of NDLEA victims have been celebrities.

Due to our site policy, we can’t post the video and pictures here. You can find them on Twitter, however.
