The Nigerian Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami has ordered the arrest and prosecution of citizens using a virtual private network (VPN) to access Twitter.
The order was delivered to the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation (DPPF) at the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, to sway into action and begin the process of prosecution of violators of the Federal Government De-activation of operations of Twitter in the country.
The order came a day after Buhari led administration banned Twitter across the country and Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed warned the public against using the platform.
