Davido is back with a new track called “Stand Strong” featuring The Samples Choir, which is also known as the Sunday Service Choir, which you can listen to right here.

Davido seems to be ready to take home the 2022 Grammy award for Best Gospel Performance/Song.

Yes, I mean it, Angelique Kidjo can’t touch this. This is not a Global Music Performance category song. 

Although Davido has cemented his place in the Afrobeats industry, collaborating with The Samples Choir was the last thing anyone expected him to do, yet he did.

Davido’s reputation in North America has expanded as a result of his collaborations with Chris Brown, Bleu, Casanova, Quavo, Sean Kingston, and others. He’s back now with his new hit, which features The Samples Choir.

The singer links up with Kanye West’s Sunday service choir on “Stand Strong,” an inspirational and soul-lifting anthem produced by Phillip Kayode Moses, famously known as Pheelz. The Sample Choir’s in heaven mode and Davido’s church orientation from his family mesh perfectly on the record as they give hope to the hopeless and strength to the weak.

The new single arrives roughly two months after he sold out the O2 Arena. The singer’s new album will be released later this year, and this is the first official single from the album.
