This week, Nigerian afrobeat superstar David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, was spotted in Osun State wearing what appeared to be a wedding band, which now confirms the rumors that he had wed Chioma Rowland while they were grieving the death of their baby.
It was reported last month that 30-year-old David Adeleke and his longtime girlfriend Chioma Rowland were being placed under house watch on Lagos Banana Island so they could take some time to recover from the death of their son.
According to some other claims, the singer and the chef secretly got married a few days after the passing of their 3-year-old child.
Davido was spotted at the Inauguration Ceremony of Governor Ademola Adeleke in Osun State, marking his first public appearance in weeks.
Pictures from the occasion were posted on Instagram and Twitter by followers and members of the singer’s entourage who were with him.
The fourth finger on the left hand is the most common place for married couples in Nigeria to wear their wedding rings.
In one photo, Davido was seen posing with his governor uncle, and a little band was seen on his left “ring” finger, leading the Nigerian media to speculate that he had secretly wed.
In other photos, he can be seen clutching a juice container, and the ring is clearly visible, as MandyNews.com has confirmed.
The images have also fuelled rumors that he had withheld Chioma from public view since many believe she may be pregnant.
