Benin City, Nigeria (MandyNews.com) – In a devastating turn of events, a beloved student leader at the University of Benin (UniBen) was allegedly shot dead on campus on Monday evening, April 3.
Desmond Rukevwe, known as “Mayor” by his peers and fellow students, was a prominent Kegite Chief residing in the university’s Aminu Kano Hall 3 hostel.
The incident occurred in Desmond’s room, where he was found with a gunshot wound to his head. The injury was so bad that he died right away, leaving the UniBen community shocked and sad.
