Bauchi, Nigeria (MandyNews.com) — A fatal accident on the Jos-Bauchi axis claimed the lives of two men returning home after a congratulatory visit to Nigeria’s Vice President-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima of the All Progressives Congress (APC), following the 2023 presidential election.

The information was shared by Abrahim Abdullahi on social media.

The men, identified as Abdullahi’s father and his father’s friend, were traveling back home after congratulating Shettima, who, along with President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emerged victorious in the recently concluded election.

Unfortunately, the two men lost their lives in the accident. Abdullahi expressed his grief and mourning by sharing the traditional Islamic phrase, “Innalillahi wa inna ilaihirrajiun,” which translates to “We belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.”

The cause of the accident remains unknown at this time.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
