Earlier this weekend, Elon Musk announced that he would restore Donald John Trump’s Twitter account.
Musk made the announcement after setting up a poll asking if he should reinstate former President Trump.
According to data gathered by Mandy News, more than 150 million people viewed the poll, of whom over 15 million cast votes. Of these, 52% voted for the reinstatement of the Trump account, while 48% voted against it.
Musk later clarified in a tweet, however, that he would adhere to what the public had stated about the reinstatement of the Trump account.
“The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated,” Musk said.
Musk’s tweet came three weeks after he said that Twitter will be forming a content moderation team and that no reinstatement will happen before that.
Hopefully, the ex-president will return to the app before this month comes to an end.
