European Union has donated €50 Million to Nigeria to face COVID-19 emergencies: official
The European Union back Nigeria with up to €50 million, as part of global efforts to fight the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and curb its spread, a presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad said on Tuesday.
“The European Union (EU) has donated a grant of €50 million to the Federal Government, their contribution to Nigeria’s fight against #COVID19, the Head of EU delegation, Amb. Ketil Karlsen announces the donation at a meeting with President Buhari today in Abuja,” Bashir said.
President Muhammadu Buhari on his part, commended the European Union for donating the sum of N21 billion (50 million Euros) to support Nigeria’s efforts in controlling the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
