Finland Tops World Happiness Report 2024 List: Here's Complete Details

Finland has clinched the number one spot in the World Happiness Report 2024 rankings. It scored 7.741, showing that people there are pretty happy with their lives. This isn’t new for Finland; they’ve been at the top for a while now.

The report looks at things like how happy people are, how healthy they are, how much money they have, and other stuff that affects how good they feel about life. Denmark and Iceland are right behind Finland, scoring 7.583 and 7.525, respectively.

This report helps us see which countries are doing a good job making their people happy and where there’s room for improvement. Finland’s been doing well consistently, so they must be doing something right.

Finland is at the top with a score of 7.741. People there are happy because they feel connected to their community, have good healthcare, and support each other.


Denmark is just behind Finland with a score of 7.583. People in Denmark have a good balance between work and life, and the country takes care of its citizens.


Iceland comes third with a score of 7.525. The beautiful nature, trust among people, and little corruption make Icelanders happy.


Sweden is fourth with a score of 7.344. People there enjoy a strong economy, good social support, and care about equality and the environment.


Israel ranks fifth with a score of 7.341. The strong sense of community, vibrant culture, and focus on family make Israelis happy.


The Netherlands is sixth with a score of 7.319. The country has good social policies, a high standard of living, and people value having a good balance between work and life.


Norway takes the seventh spot with a score of 7.302. A strong economy, good social support, and care for the environment contribute to Norwegians’ happiness.


Luxembourg ranks eighth with a score of 7.122. The country’s high income, strong economy, and good healthcare and education make people happy.


Switzerland is ninth with a score of 7.060. People in Switzerland enjoy a high quality of life, a stable economy, and feel safe and free.


Australia rounds out the top ten with a score of 7.057. Australians love their beautiful landscapes, good quality of life, and strong support systems.
