Ghana has become the first country in Africa to receive covid 19 vaccines from the COVAX facility on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
Ghana, a country of 30 million population with 80,759 reported cases of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) received its first 600,000 Oxford-AstraZeneca doses of vaccines in the country’s capital.
The country is among the first countries to receive #COVAX vaccines based on various factors, including a strong rollout plan & all regulatory steps in place.
The shipments represent the beginning of the largest vaccine procurement & supply operation in history.
