A 2-year-old boy from Uganda is seen being swallowed by a hippopotamus in the river in a disturbing video that is currently going viral.
As shared on Tiktok, the clip shows river hippopotamus swiftly swallowing its victim.
Later, the hippopotamus was caught by the local men who then flung objects at it until it puked, causing the young boy to be ousted.
Before being taken by the beast, the small boy was playing by himself on a lake in the town of Katwe Kabatoro.
Many social media users, however, have expressed surprise that this is a renegade hippopotamus and have responded in a different way.
Three kids are swimming in the river at the beginning of the video. The victim decided to move further and go deeper, and the hippocampus then opened its wide mouth. People running can be seen later in the video.
The young child’s injuries were attended to at the neighborhood hospital right away.
