Korede Paul, a student at the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), was shot and killed in Akoka, on the mainland of Lagos.

He was shot on September 15, about 10 o’clock at night.

The viral video, uploaded and sighted by MandyNews.com on Twitter, shows the victim lying in a pool of blood.

He appears to have been shot in the head, based on the viral video.

According to information obtained on social media and shared by the victim’s friends and colleagues, he was killed in front of the Art complex.

Korede Paul Death

The victim was reportedly the second murder this semester, according to a university student.

A different student reported on Twitter that a female student had also been shot with a gun and had been taken to the hospital.

The victim, Korede Paul, had dreadlocks and was shown in a viral video rocking a sky blue pair of jeans and a black top. He was spotted lying in a bloody pool.

Police Reaction

The killing was confirmed by Superintendent of Police (SP) and Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin.

“I’ve just had a conversation with the Divisional Police Officer (DPO). It has been verified. The victim was a male. When we have more information, we’ll let you know,” he said.
