The Delta State government has announced on Monday that it has established a food bank for low-income families in the state cushion the effects of the lockdown.
The Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu disclosed this while briefing newsmen after a meeting of the Central Committee on Managing and Containing the Coronavirus Pandemic In Delta, presided over by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, in Asaba.
The commissioner disclosed that all political appointees in the State have sacrificed their one month subvention as part of their contributions to ameliorating the effects of the virus.
