Following the revelation of the Ime Udoka controversy involving an improper contact with a female employee of the Boston Celtics team, Nia Long is in a state of disrepair.
TMZ claims that Nia was unaware of the romance and only learned about it a few days before the rest of the world.
According to those with direct knowledge of the case, Nia just came to Boston with her 10-year-old son Kez in order to establish a new life.
They intended to advance their relationship while house hunting as a family. However, Nia was unaware that Ime was aware this issue was likely to become public but failed to inform her of it.
Ime didn’t speak to Nia about this once before she moved to Boston, despite the fact that it appears he was aware the organization would be opening an investigation into the affair as early as July.
According to the insider, because he anticipated it would be revealed, he only told Nia a few days before it made headlines.
Nia informs TMZ via Shannon Barr, her agent “It means a lot to me that my family, friends, and the community have shown me so much love and support at this trying time. As I contemplate the recent events, I kindly ask that my privacy be respected. I am a mother first and foremost, so I will always put my kids first.”
