Nigeria were drawn in a group alongside Cape Verde, Liberia, and central Africa in the second round of the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.
2019 AFCON finalists Algeria and Senegal were placed in the first pot alongside African powerhouses, most notably Egypt, Cameroon, Nigeria, Morocco, and Tunisia.
CAF’s 2022 World Cup qualifiers draw took place on Tuesday, January 21st at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Cairo, Egypt.
