Donald Trump is planning to add Nigeria and six countries – Belarus, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Sudan and Tanzania to US travel ban list, According to Tuesday report.
In an interview with the Journal U.S. President Donald Trump said that he was considering adding countries to the travel ban, but declined to state which ones. Politico said an announcement was expected as early as Monday.
The new rules impacting Nigeria may not take the form of a blanket ban on travel to the US, but could include restrictions on government officials.
Previously travel banned include Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Syria and Yemen
An announcement is said to be made as soon as Monday
