Former Governor Oshiomhole chased away from the Ring Road campaign rally by Obidients in Edo State, showing strong support for Peter Obi.
Recently, former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, was met with loud protests from supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, during a campaign event at Ring Road in Benin City.
Oshiomhole had come to campaign for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, but was chased away by Obidients who took over the event, shouting “Peter Obi” until Oshiomhole left the venue.
This incident comes several months after Oshiomhole made remarks mocking Peter Obi, referring to his supporters as “disobedient” and “four social media users in a room”
However, the Obidients at the Ring Road campaign event proved that they are far from being disobedient and demonstrated their unwavering support for their preferred candidate.
The video of the incident has gone viral on social media, causing widespread reactions and comments. Many people see this as a significant event in the lead-up to the presidential election, with some saying it is a clear indication of the level of support that Peter Obi has in Edo State. Others view it as a sign of the growing discontent with Oshiomhole’s leadership and his recent political actions.
It is no secret that Adams Oshiomhole and Peter Obi has a contentious history, with Oshiomhole making various remarks against Peter Obi in the past.
However, the Obidients at the Ring Road campaign event have shown that they are not willing to tolerate any more derogatory comments and have taken a stand against Oshiomhole’s leadership.
