The co-founder and CEO of budgIT Oluseun Onigbinde wants Peter Obi supporters to donate N10 million for his 2023 Presidential Campaign.

According to multiple reports flying around the media when Atiku Abubakar handpicked Peter Obi as his running mate in the 2019 presidential election, the former Anambra governor didn’t contribute financially to the campaign.

So because of this, Mr. Atiku, who recently declared to run for president, replaced Peter Obi with Rivers State Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

Less than 24 hours after Business Day makes the report, 60-year-old Obi informs supporters of his ambition to run for the 2023 presidency if PDP zone the ticket to the South.

Now, Peter Obi might not do it alone: A Nigerian entrepreneur and open data analyst is suggesting a crowdfunding campaign to give the presidential aspirant support — starting from $25 million.

The Nigerian civic startup suggested on Tuesday to Obi’s supporters and those who want to do away with the old presidential candidate.

The fund-raiser could also solve another problem that has plagued Nigerian politics in recent years: being hijacked by billionaires in the country.

A N10bn GoFundMe for Peter Obi will be great starter for those who want crowdsource Nigeria’s next leader. This will change the dynamics with the space hijacked by moneybags,” Oluseun Onigbinde wrote.
