A female staff of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA channel 5 Abuja, named Selimota Idowu Suleiman, died on Thursday after she was crushed in her car by a Kaduna-Abuja train.
According to details obtained by Mandy News, the incident occurred in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), where the female reporter lives and was on her way to work when she tried to cross over the railroad and the train ran over her while she was inside the car.
The woman is said to reside in the Chikakore community in Zone E, Abuja.
The NTA staff died on the spot. After the incident, the manament of the Nigerian government-owned and partly commercial broadcast station release a statement.
Late Selimota worked as a Principal Accountant for the Finance Department up until the time of her death.
