The cost of a ticket to run for an office in Nigeria is based on the money in your pocket. For example, the chairman, house of assembly, house of representative, senate, governor, and a few other offices cost money.
Apart from buying a ticket from a political party, you will also budget a whole lot of money for the campaign. Presidential candidates in the ruling party often spend billions before they can get into power.
Now we’re going to talk about how much the price of an APC ticket for the 2023 general election in Nigeria is.
How Much Is APC Ticket For The 2023 Election
Prior to the 2023 general elections, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) established a timetable of primaries for State House of Assembly, Governorship, House of Representatives, Senate, and Presidency.
The party has declared a price of N100 million for its Presidential form. While the APC set a price of N30 million for expressions of interest, it also stated that presidential aspirants must pay N30 million for the nomination form.
Governorship primaries will be held on May 18, State House of Assembly primaries will be held on May 20, House of Representatives primaries will be held on May 22nd, and Senate primaries will be held on May 24th, 2022.
The ruling party, on the other hand, set the dates for its “special convention” for Presidential Primaries for the 30th of May and the 1st of June, and allowed a 50% discount on nomination forms for all youth under the age of 40.
