Armed Man Arrested In Ogun State On His Way To Robbery

• On Tuesday, April 19th, 2022, Waheed Ijiyemi, an armed robbery suspect, was apprehended by men from the Ogun State Police Command while on his way to commit a robbery.
• A cut-to-size locally produced pistol with ten live ammunition was discovered in the tiny bag he was carrying.
• During questioning, the suspect admitted to being an armed robber who was on his way to carry out an operation when he was arrested.

The News: The law enforcement agency in Ogun State has announced the arrest of Waheed Ijiyemi, who was allegedly on his way to carry out a robbery operation

What happened: The suspect was apprehended while DPO Onipanu Division, CSP Bamidele Job, was on routine patrol with his men and spotted the suspect on an unregistered Bajaj motorcycle, according to DSP Abimbola Oyeyimi, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Police Command. As soon as the suspect saw the officers, he got off his bike and ran. He was pursued and apprehended after a long chase.
