The former Lagos State Governor slammed the governor of Ogun State, claiming that he chose him for the position.

Tinubu made the revelation during a meeting to attract APC delegates in Abeokuta on Thursday.

The date for the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential primary is June 6th.

Muhammadu Buhari, the president of the ruling party, has stated that he will choose his successor himself and has urged all of his party’s governors to back him.

In April 2022, Dapo Abiodun announced his support for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s presidential bid.

The well-known Jagaban, speaking to the delegates in Ogun State, said in Yoruba that Dapo Abiodun could not have been governor without him.

“It’s over 34 years now that I have been serving them, this one sitting behind me , can he say it that he would have become the governor if not for me,” Tinubu said.

In the now viral video on social media Tinubu can be seen pointing at Dapo Abiodun while making his boastful statement.
