Young Nigerians who are upset with Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, are petitioning the US government to look into his prior drug-related felony case.
MandyNews.com has noted that the petition has been placed on Change.org, where it has received a number of favorable responses from people.
More than 11,000 people have signed the petition in less than 4 hours since it was published.
The petition “will enable Nigerians know who their potential president is in character and history,” the petition states.
“They will be able to make the right decision on who they commit their future and leadership of the country to,” the person who created the petition wrote.
David Hundeyin, a researcher, recently revisited the past criminal case of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the US and published it with the title “From drug lord to president.”
The piece did, however, elicit a variety of responses from individuals around the world.
That prompted someone who goes by the name of Ade Lani to submit a petition to Change.org urging the US government to review the case.
