All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has called on the people of Osun State to exercise caution when choosing their next leader. During a recent presidential campaign rally held at the Freedom Park in Osogbo, the state capital of Osun, Tinubu warned the electorate to be wary of false messiahs and not to be deceived by the empty promises of his counterpart from the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.
In his speech, Tinubu emphasized that Peter Obi has nothing of significance to offer to Nigerians and that none of the other major candidates in the upcoming election possess the necessary qualities to lead the country towards its best destiny. Tinubu stated that he alone is prepared and equipped to lead the country towards its best future, outlining his plans for the country and his vision for its future.
Tinubu referred to Peter Obi as a false messiah, dubbing him “Mr. Stingy,” and warning the people to be cautious of his bold promises. The APC candidate accused Obi of being overwhelmed when given the responsibility to lead the state of Anambra, resulting in a failure to fulfill his duties as governor. According to Tinubu, Obi could not build good roads, schools, and hospitals, pay the salaries of doctors, teachers, and civil servants, or nurture and empower new leaders.
Tinubu went on to argue that Obi’s eight-year tenure as governor of Anambra was characterized by a lack of vision and leadership, and that he should not be trusted as the next president of the country. The APC candidate called on the people of Osun State to reject Obi and to vote wisely in the upcoming election.
Tinubu’s speech was well-received by the crowd at the Freedom Park, with many in attendance expressing their support for the former governor of Lagos State and his vision for the future of Nigeria. The APC candidate’s speech was also widely covered by the media, with many analysts commenting on his clear and concise message and his strong leadership credentials.
