Twitter, a popular American microblogging platform, is currently experiencing a bug that is preventing users from viewing photos and videos.

According to reports, the issue started on Monday and affected both the company’s website and mobile apps.

Clicking on links brought up an error message that read “Your current API plan does not include access to this endpoint,” while a similar message appeared when users tried to access TweetDeck. The bug has since been fixed, but it has left many users frustrated and concerned about the platform’s stability.

This is not the first time Twitter has experienced an outage in recent weeks. Just days after laying off dozens of employees, the platform suffered a major outage that lasted for several hours.

At the time, many users and insiders were worried that the platform was in danger of falling apart, especially given the massive changes that have taken place since Elon Musk took over as CEO.

Musk, who assumed control of Twitter in October, has made some controversial decisions since taking over the company. He fired thousands of employees and contractors and demanded that those who remained commit to an “extremely hardcore” vision where they’d work for long hours at high intensity. Many workers chose to walk away from Twitter rather than make the pledge, leaving the company with a significant talent gap.

Despite these challenges, Musk remains committed to his vision for Twitter. He recently responded to the outage by acknowledging that the platform is “brittle” but promising that it would be fixed shortly. However, many users and insiders remain skeptical about the platform’s long-term prospects, especially given the challenges it has faced in recent weeks.

One of the biggest issues facing Twitter is the company’s decision to restrict its APIs, which are the tools that developers use to hook into the platform. In early February, Twitter announced that it would start charging for access to APIs, which has led to concerns that the platform may become less accessible and less useful to developers.

Despite these challenges, Twitter remains one of the most popular social media platforms in the world. It is used by millions of people every day to connect with friends and family, share news and information, and promote their businesses and brands. While the recent outage and bug are certainly cause for concern, it is clear that Twitter remains an important part of the social media landscape and will continue to play a significant role in the years to come.
