This Christmas season, a video of some white men fighting with black children over swimming in the pool went viral.
The video, which was first reported by Tumil Frost, gained more than 900,000 views on Twitter about 24 hours after it was posted and shows grown men fighting black kids in Maselspoort resort.
According to the radio personality and a black business enthusiast who shared the video on social media, the argument started when the guys asserted that this place’s pool was only for “white people.”
She said the young boys seen in the now-viral video by Mandy News are her brothers.
“Family came to spend the day @ MASELSPOORT RESORT & CONFERENCE CENTRE in Free State. My brothers were attacked by these grown men because they are apparently not allowed in the pool as it’s reserved for the “white people” here,” she said.
She claims that when law enforcement officials arrived, they insisted that an assault case rather than an attempted murder investigation be opened.
MandyNews.com, however, learned that the management of the Maselspool Resort and Conference Center is utterly convinced that the attack is not racially motivated.
Following several hours of unsuccessful attempts, the young woman announced that they had opened a case with the Glen Police Station in Soweto, South Africa.
In the comment section on Twitter where the video was uploaded, a man said the young kids provoked the elderly men.
Another comment sighted was from a man pointing out that there are other black people inside the pool who are not being harassed.ย
According to the young girl, the boys are now doing well.
It’s not in our position to judge what happened in the pool; law enforcement agencies will do that.ย
