A video of the moment Imran Khan was shot at a rally goes viral.
Imran Khan, a former Pakistani prime minister, was shot during a rally in Wazirabad, Pakistan’s Punjab province, and was immediately taken to the hospital.
During the shooting, one of his supporters was shot to death.
The attack was described as a “assassination attempt” in response by his party.
The former cricketer was participating in a demonstration from Lahore to Islamabad to protest the army establishment-backed federal government when it all happened.
The video that documents the shooting’s first seconds was received by Mandy News via Twitter.
As he was being placed into an SUV with his right leg wrapped, Mr. Khan was spotted waving, indicating that the injury wasn’t serious. He was driven 100 kilometers to Lahore.
Imran Khan was standing on a container truck, the focal point of his protest against the Shehbaz Sharif administration, when the attacker, who was eventually subdued and arrested, was shown in videos shooting pistol bullets at Imran Khan.
