Former Edo state governor, Adam Oshiomhole, came to the aid of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, after a recent blunder during a presidential rally in Rivers state.
The video of the event, which showed Tinubu holding up his walking stick with both hands during the national anthem, has since gone viral on social media.
During the recitation of the national anthem, Tinubu was seen holding up his walking stick, while others in his entourage, including the APC vice-presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, and Oshiomhole, stood attentively.
Oshiomhole eventually intervened by tapping Tinubu and guiding him to return his hands to a more appropriate position.
This is not the first time that Tinubu has faced criticism for his behavior during the presidential campaign. The APC candidate has been subject to several other incidents, including a recent episode where he mistakenly referred to the vice-presidential candidate as the โpresidential candidate.โ
Despite the blunders, the APC remains confident in Tinubuโs ability to lead, and the party has continued to rally behind him. The presidential campaign train has been making stops across the country in preparation for the upcoming election.
As the election draws closer, it remains to be seen how these incidents will impact the outcome of the race. Nevertheless, it is clear that the video of Tinubu raising his walking stick during the national anthem has generated significant buzz on social media, with many people sharing their opinions on the incident.
