Video Of Zelensky Kissing Nancy Pelosi In Congress Goes Viral

Following his speech to a joint session of Congress, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksy is seen in a viral video kissing Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on the cheek.

Over 500,000 people have watched that video as of this writing.

Zelensky hailed the United States and its partners for their assistance in an English-language address to Congress, which he gave on his first travel outside of Ukraine since Russia invaded the nation on February 24.

After finishing his speech, Zelensky gave a Ukrainian flag to Congress that he had obtained from soldiers when visiting the city of Bakhmut in the eastern Donbas region of the country.

Zelensky rose to the podium and gave Pelosi a cheek kiss as he gave her the flag. Along with Vice President Kamala Harris, she held up the flag while appearing surprised and grinned at Zelensky.

By early Thursday afternoon, John Hudson of The Washington Post had released a CSPAN video of the incident to Twitter that had been seen more than 500,000 times.

However, some social media users expressed astonishment at the kiss, while others praised the occasion.
