Recently, a video surfaced online that appears to show Kahlieff Adams passing an unknown object to Young Thug during a court appearance.
The footage, which was taken inside the courtroom, has sparked speculation and controversy.
According to WSB TV, surveillance footage has emerged that appears to show Young Thug and his co-defendant Kahlieff Adams conducting a “hand-to-hand” drug deal in court. Prosecutors have accused the two individuals of exchanging drugs during a court appearance, and the footage in question is said to show Adams walking over to where Young Thug was seated with his attorney and dropping a Percocet in his hand.
The footage, which was obtained by WSB TV’s Mark Winne, reportedly shows a deputy confronting Young Thug and him turning over the pill to authorities. When deputies searched Adams, they found him in possession of Percocet, marijuana, and tobacco wrapped in plastic and food seasonings to conceal the odor of weed, according to investigators.
Following the incident, Adams was taken to Grady Hospital after he appeared to ingest other items of contraband in an effort to conceal the extent of his crimes within the courtroom. Prosecutors have since filed a motion asking the court to “make a finding of fact that Court was delayed on January 18, 2023 because of the actions of Defendant Williams and Defendant Adams.”
In response to the allegations, an attorney for Young Thug, Keith Adams, has issued a statement. “The reality is that Mr. Williams has nothing to do with what went wrong in the courtroom. One of his co-defendants was on his way to the restroom when he decided to pass something to Mr. Williams, who immediately turned it off to the deputy.”
He added that Young Thug did not know what he was passed to him.
The footage and the allegations of drug dealing in court have sparked widespread shock and concern.
