Former Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode said that “the youths are coming” to take over Nigeria in the 2023 general election.
In a post on Tuesday as sighted by Mandy News on Twitter, Ambode said that the political power is in the hands of Nigerian youths, possibly reacting to Tinubu’s declaration of his 2023 presidential ambition.
“The youths are coming. The power is in their hands,” the former Bola Tinubu’s handpicked Candidate for the 2014 Lagos state election said.
Ambode said that the youths should “Go and get your Permanent Voters Card (PVC) ready. Your future is NOW!”
Akinwunmi Ambode took office in 2015, was defeated by Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the APC’s primaries for gubernatorial elections.
In a viral video sighted by Mandy News during the primaries, one of the executives said Tinubu asked them to vote out Ambode.
According to the 69-year-old Lagos godfather in a recent statement said that Lagos state was heading in the “wrong direction” when Akinwunmi Ambode was the governor.
Do you think Ambode is taking shot at Tinubu or he want to come back to dethroned Sanwo Olu?
