LAGOS, Nigeria – Administration led by Muhammadu Buhari, a former military ruler, on Monday ordered the suspension of one of the country’s leading TV station.
Channels TV had also been found to have breached the broadcast code over their coverage of the #EndSARS protests the National Broadcasting Commission [NBC] and Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed told the court last year.
Why was Channels TV fined?
The suspension originates from an April 25 broadcast that aired comments from separatist Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Vanguard news said.
