Chukwuka Ekweani, also known as Ckay and a recording artist from Nigeria, has returned with a new song titled “Mmadu.”
On Tuesday, September 20, the singer, who is 27 years old, unannouncedly dropped his latest hit.
The song premiered on Spotify earlier in the day, and now on every online music distribution service.
Prior to joining ADA, a division of Warner Music Group’s independent label services, Ckay was signed to Chocolate City. His international smash song “Love Nwantiti,” also spelled “Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah),” which was released by Chocolate City in 2019. Following the inauguration of the Billboard Afrobeats chart on March 29, 2022, the song debuted at the top of the chart.
It achieved the first-ever billion-stream milestone on Spotify on May 9, 2022, making it the first African song in history.
