An African-American man, George Floyd was on May 25 killed by a metropolis police officer, Derek Chauvin.
The four metropolis police officers were fired on Tuesday in relation to the incident that killed George Floyd Derek Chauvin knelt on Floyd’s neck for over seven minutes during an arrest, while another officer, Tou Thao stood nearby.
Who is Derek Chauvin?
Derek Chauvin is a white Minneapolis police officer who knelt on Floyd’s neck for over six minutes during an arrest after he was filmed by a passerby, Darnella Frazier. George Floyd can be heard begging to Chauvin that he was unable to breathe but Chauvin ignores until George appears to no longer move.
