Disgusting Food For Inmates In Kaduna Prison (Photos)

Once upon a time, the Honourable Minister of Interior Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Dambazau said Nigeria spends N14,000 daily to feed each prisoner, he added Nigeria requires about N10 billion annually to feed Prisoners across the country.

His words: ‘Our Prisons are congested with close to 70, 000 prison inmates and awaiting trials. Quite a number of them are there because they cannot pay fines and some of them do not have fair justice. We require N10 billion every year to feed them!’

But on the 8th of March 2020, Twitter user and activist, Citizen Steven Kefason shared disgusting photos from meals served to prisoners in Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai state, Kaduna.

He tweeted: “Dear CorrectionsNg, Find attached the soup given to inmates in Kaduna Custodial center (Prison) this afternoon being 8th March 2020.” he said.

He went further by tagging Nigeria’s new Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola

“Dear raufaregbesola, As minister of interior what are u doing to check this poison served as food?”
