The Financial Crimes Commission in Lagos on Tuesday arrested former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, who is accused of forging and manipulating documents.

According to the EFCC spokesman, the 61-year-old accused, who recently went back to the All Progressives Congress in September, was brought to the Lagos Zonal Office of the anti-graft agency. He is engaged in dealing with forgery and manipulation of documents.
The EFCC personal Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed to reporters that Fani-Kayode’s was arrested.
“I think something like that happened,” he said.
At the time of this writing, Mr Fani-Kayode had been granted bail by the operatives.
“Just arrived at the George Hotel for dinner. I was never arrested by the EFCC. I was invited & I flew down to Lagos to see them. I arrived in their office at 2.00pm & left at 8.30pm. I was granted bail on self recognition. They were very polite & professional. Thanks be to God,” he tweeted.
